Non-Cancerous BPH Options

After becoming frustrated with various physicians in my local area, I have decided to seek out the expertise of larger more well known institutions, namely Loma Linda Medical Center in California.

Microwave BPH Therapy - Loma Linda University Medical Center BPH, or benign prostate hyperplasia, is not prostate cancer but has some of the same symptoms of prostate cancer. Nearly all men eventually experience some degree of prostate growth and as the prostate enlarges, it can interfere with the bladder's ability to empty itself. When a patient at Loma Linda University Medical Center is diagnosed with BPH, a urologist may recommend a variety of treatments, including minimally invasive procedure options.

Procedure Details
Microwave BPH therapy, also known as transurethral microwave thermo-therapy (TUMT), uses heat to destroy a portion of the enlarged prostate surrounding the urethra. This minimally invasive procedure allows the patient to urinate more freely by making the urethra larger as it passes through the prostate. Microwave BPH therapy is an outpatient procedure and does not involve overnight hospitalization.

Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is the most common nosocomial pulmonary infection and accounts for a significant proportion of the 1.7 million infections and 99,000 associated deaths each year in American hospitals. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE) are of growing concern due to their ease of transmission via medical devices and hospital personnel. Other pathogens causing VAP include Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumonia and Hemophilus influenzae, Pseudomonas aeruginosam, Acinetobacter species and Enterobacter species. A clear diagnosis of VAP requires a combination of findings from clinical signs, chest X-ray, and analysis of bronchial alveolar lavage. Although there are several natural defense systems against infection, these are often breached through the use of indwelling devices, such as catheters, and inadequately sterilized mechanical ventilation equipment, such as endotracheal tubes, ventilator circuits, humidifiers, medication nebulizers and suction catheters. Methods to prevent VAP include effective handwashing with antimicrobial preparations, education of hospital staff, thorough sterilization of equipment, and implementation of protocols such as the VAP bundle. Modified equipment is now available to limit the likelihood of infection.

BTPS HFT Standard of Care in Your Hospital Setting

I'd like to have some input as to the Standards of Care in Your Hospital regarding "Heated" High Flow Oxygen Delivery. Currently where I work we do not have or use BTPS High Flow Oxygen and after reading the Clinical Foundations Article I am quite interested in pursuing this avenue and plan on speaking with our Director.

"Breathing cool, dry gases can produce deleterious effects in the respiratory tract and when delivered through an artificial airway, can maginfy the negative impact of ventilation."

"(BTPS) Body Temperature Pressure Saturated (HFT) High flow therpay delivers warm, humdified gas to the patient through a nasal cannula. BTPS gas can be beneficial, regardless of whether the the patient is receiving supplemental oxygen, although the mechanism is not yet fully understood"

Today I found new technology to deliver BTPS via nasal canula and ventilator see Vapore for details

Online Discussion of Respiratory Care Article Reviews

The turn out for our July 1 RT Article Review was very dishearting. I arrived at 7pm ordered a sandwich and drink and waited until 730pm. No one arrived. I should know by now that only those very dedicated people to their profession would take the time to meet in a group to increase they awareness and share their expertise with their peers. To this end I will post the Monthly Article for review at http://RCPSAM.com and discussions of the article will be posted on this blog. At some future date I will set up a group conference line so those interested can share their thoughts on the Montly Articles.

5 Minutes to Midnight

In 1987 while I was living in Bradenton Florida, I had a vision that I should start investigating Master Numbers. Over the course of about 30 days a system evolved that I entitled. "The Master Lotto System" (making order out of random). I used this system for a short period of time to select numbers for the Florida Lottery. On one particular day everything lined up in exact order, I placed my bet and won over 1-thousand dollars. I later moved to Maine and tried using the same system there without success. To this day I believe that lotto number selection is somehow tied to the GPS location of the drawing as well as other influences of our solar system. I have no doubt that there is order in everything. We might see it as random and we might believe that it is chance but I believe there is no chance, there is no luck. The choices we make in our everyday lifes are influenced by some higher order.

5 Minutes to Midnight

Armageddon - What might happen on December 21, 2012? What do the world's major religions say about the end of the world? Is Armageddon going to happen?

The Mayans, Nostradamus, The Bible, and other sources all claim the world will end in armageddon. Will it?

The Masons have been linked to many of history's greatest movements, but what do they think of the 2012 debate?

The history channel recently aired a very interesting program about the possibility of what could happen on or near December 12 2012. http://www.history.com/shows/armageddon/

Pastor Hagee a TV minister has been exploring the meaning of old testament scripture using numerology to predict the end of time.

Certainly we are living in an important era of change. Should we be concerned about what choices we make between now and December 21, 2012. Should we prepare for the collapse of the monetary system. Should we start coverting our paper dollars into silver and gold. Should we postpone major events like buying a house, going to school, getting married, traveling abroad, et cetra.

The countdown has started http://www.december212012.com/ what will we do with the days before 12/21/2012?

Will Christians soon become a minority in America? There are signs everywhere that people don't want GOD in their lives. As you look at people on the street tattoos, and body piercing are everywhere. I can't imagine this is because they love the Lord with All Their Heart.

Billboards are asking if you can do without GOD in your life? And then saying Millions Do! Muslim Mosque's are everywhere in America. Hate and racial violence are common place. When Obama ran for President he ran on the ticket of change. Everybody wanted change - they never asked what the change would be.

"In God We Trust" has been removed from the front of the new dollar coin and has been placed on the edge. How is that significant? The people of the world are living in a era of rebellion. Crisis is everywhere. The earth is rumbling and crumbling. How we you survive? If the time comes to choose between being a servant of your Government or being a Child of God, which will you choose?

The time is coming my friends. The time is at hand.

Now is the time choose between GOD and GOVERNMENT.

Which Choice Will You Make?
